PulseKeeper ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our rhythm timing trainer application handles your information.

Information We Collect

Data Stored Locally

PulseKeeper stores the following data locally in your browser only:

  • Session History: Your practice sessions, including timing accuracy, tap counts, BPM, and subdivision settings
  • Calibration Data: System lag compensation settings

This data never leaves your device and is stored using your browser's local storage.

Device Access

PulseKeeper may request access to:

  • Microphone: Used only for audio input rhythm detection when you enable this feature
  • MIDI Devices: Used only to detect MIDI controller input when you enable this feature

Important: Audio and MIDI access are optional features. You can use PulseKeeper without enabling them. Audio data is processed in real-time and is never recorded or stored.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Personal identification information
  • Email addresses
  • Payment information
  • Usage analytics or tracking data
  • Audio recordings
  • Any data to external servers

Data Storage and Security

All your practice data is stored locally in your web browser using localStorage. This means:

  • Your data stays on your device
  • We cannot access your data
  • Clearing your browser data will delete your PulseKeeper history
  • Your data is not backed up to any server

Third-Party Services

PulseKeeper currently does not use any third-party services, analytics, or advertising networks.

Children's Privacy

PulseKeeper does not knowingly collect any information from children. The app can be used by anyone, and no personal information is collected from users of any age.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

  • Access: View your session history at any time within the app
  • Delete: Clear your history using the "Clear History" button or by clearing your browser's local storage
  • Control: Enable or disable microphone and MIDI access at any time
